Sadly accidents and serious illness can strike your pet at any time. The good news is that nowadays the medical treatment available to pets is on par with what people receive.
Unfortunately there is no Medicare for pets.
Pet health Insurance plans will help cover unexpected veterinary expenses.
Some policies will also include routine care cover such as de-sexing, vaccination,
teeth cleaning and council registration fees.
If you can add your pets to you home or business insurance this is the cheapest form of pet insurance.
Otherwise there are specific pet insurance plans from which you can choose your level of insurance. Most will cover any veterinarian, specialist and after hour emergency care. Each policy will be different, and each provider will offer different options. It is up to you to compare and decide which may be best for you and your pets. The Tallangatta and Kiewa Vet Clinics, have no affiliation nor preferences.
Some of the conditons our clients have claimed in the past include; snake bite treatment, knee surgery (cranial cruciate ligament repair), ear infections and preventative health care treatments such as vaccinations and heartworm medication.

Pamphlets are also available from Tallangatta, however please note that the clinic does not recieve any payment from the insurance companies if you take up a policy.
